A 54 year old man is being charged with the death of two teens after his neck tie got knotted around his steering wheel.  The man said he was trying to take off his tie and it somehow got tied around his steering wheel and his neck.

According to the Sheriff’s Department the vehicles was heading north at a speed approaching 25 mph when he lost control and collided with another vehicle in the opposite lane.  Both passengers in the other vehicle died instantly.

“This accident could have been avoided if the idiot didn’t wear a tie,” said state trooper Billy Joe Bob.  “I’ve personally seen a number of accidents that were the direct result of drivers wearing ties,” he added.
